I'm a big fan of classic NES action/platform games like Mario, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden, Megaman etc. I'm looking for DOS or old Windows action games that have a similar feel and offer plenty of challenge. I know, PCs were not good at sidescrolling graphical effects back in the day. But I don't mind so-so graphics as long as a game is fun and hard. Rick Dangerous is a good example of the sort of thing I like in old PC games. (I also enjoy crappy PC ports or clones of my favorite 8/16-bit console series, I find them amusing and endearing.

For instance I would love to have an X1 computer to play.) • • • • •.
