Jan 19, 2010 Hi, I know there have been threads on this before but largely they just mention installing the Vista 64 bit drivers (done that). I'm running Windows 7 64. Hannot, Do you have your Hero connected to your PC? And if so have you pressed HTC sync on your Hero? The only reason I can think of for the missing.

HTC Sync is a free tool to synchronize your media files between your HTC phone (for example Android) and your desktop computer. Other than media files (photos, music and videos) you can also transfer your contacts and calendar entries between your smartphone and PC. The MS USB driver is the standard one used for removable devices, so the entry under 'Disk drives' is normal. When I connect my handset the following appears in Device Manager: Android USB Devices (no driver used) __ My HTC (ANDROIDUSB.sys & WdfCoInstaller01007.dll) If you're not seeing the same, check to see if /Windows/System32/Drivers contains the former and /Windows/System32 the latter.
