Because the app is being completley unsupported. So that means a few things. Downoad/Installer will no longer be provided, so If you dont already have GFWL you're SOL 2. Even if you already have GFWL app, should you need to reinstall your OS, or have a hard drive failure, your GFWL games are SOL.

There are always games, OLD games that get ported like Brutal Legend, Castlevania, Enslaved for example, games that had no plans originaly to be ported, but did after a long time.
