No antivirus/malware/spyware programs detect it as a threat, and no negative news has come from it's use. Better DS3 using it has no network usage so we know it isnt capable of sending data. MotioninJoy itself also never had any verified issues with data theft. People were simply concerned with the possibility of it. If the driver itself was a data theft tool he would have set the driver to be loaded all the time, not just while you are actually using it.

I don't know if it's changed by now, but one thing I do not like about the Xinput wrapper is you can't use one bluetooth dongle for both a PS3 controller and a Wiimote. Once you link up your PS3 controller to your bluetooth adapter, your wiimote will no longer work. This is a big annoyance for me because sometimes I use my PS3 controller for PC games (depending on the genre) and then sometimes I'll use a wiimote for Dolphin stuff. I guess I could just use Xinput Wrapper for with my PS3 controller hooked up via wired, but when I have my PC hooked up to my TV (it's not always on my TV tho), then I don't wanna sit 2 feet away from it (PS3 cables are so short.
