Alcatel Pm5 Software

Alcatel Pm5 Software

At work we have an Alcatel OmniPCX Office. I would like to use it for training but I can't seem to communicate with it. The PBX was removed and replaced from somewhere else and it was placed in my office. I don't know if it was faulty or if it was replaced because it could not meet demands. I have tried using both the web interface and the serial comms. With the serial comms I made a cable based on the pin numbering in page 95. I do not get no communication instead I get garbage.

I tried fiddling with terminal settings such as the baud rate, bits, stop bit, parity, flow control. I tried using putty and tera term pro. But All I get is garbage from that port. If I try 8bits then I get high ASCII characters it I try 7 bits I get low ASCII garbage. The number of characters received is very low and doesn't look anything like a login prompt.

With the web page I can't find the server when I connect the PBX through a switch to my computer. I don't know what the PBX's IP address is. All I can go on are what the replacement PBX's address is and what the default IP address of the OmiPCX is. Neither of which work. I tried writing a program in python and running through several ports but it can't find the PBX either. Does anyone have any idea how to communicate with this machine?

Is there any way to reset the system to defaults? What am I doing wrong? Does anyone have any idea how to communicate with this machine? Is there any way to reset the system to defaults? Sonic Generations Special Edition Ps3.

What am I doing wrong? Easiest way is via the LAN, as mentioned you will need the programming software for it. If you haven't got a copy let me know. The serial cable should work, default settings are 9600, 8, n, 1. The default IP address is 192.168.92.246. It has probably been changed from default though, so that the dial form Outlook, voice mail to email conversion and other network apps can be used. What type of handset (model) is the main handset, you can check the IP address through the handset programming.

Thanks heap to everyones help. I did not know you needed a special program to talk to the machine. The manual does not make that clear. Also the machine works, I found that out because the handset I first used was faulty but I pulled another one out of a box and it works and has all the old settings when connected. What type of handset (model) is the main handset, you can check the IP address through the handset programming. Does it matter which port the phone is plugged into? I'm using a 4029 handset I can't find the programming mode.

Os X Mountain Lion Installer App. Also if I get the PM5 software will that work over the serial connection? I assume it will talk over the V24 and the LAN. I plugged in a 4039 and it didn't work.

Nothing lit up on the LCD display. So I backtracked and removed it and tried the 4029 again. Same result, powered the PBX down and started it up again. No result on either phone, the PBX has a few analogue lines and they have a tone, not a dial tone, when you ring any number it gives some sort of tone like a engaged signal. So I think this machine is a bit flakey, maybe that is why it was replaced. I will try fiddling with it next week and see if the digital handsets give any response.

Everyone that manages to get a copy of the software ends up killing their system. Serious, I have many clients that administer their own systems and none of them have 'killed' their system. Sure they need a bit of training first up, but it's not that hard. For example when you have the software open and connect to the system its very easy to have a blank database open and over right your programming, even i have done it a couple of times lol, I could say more, but that just about covers it.
